psyrecon was founded by Drs. Boucsein and Stürmer when they were members of the Institute of Physiological Psychology at the University of Wuppertal. The founders see their mission as offering scientific methods and results from the field of psychophysiology to a broader audience. Applying the most current psychophysiology research results into the fields of economics, marketing, ergonomics and health is a core element of the corporate philosophy.

Almost all of our mind processes (i.e., emotions, thoughts, attitudes, etc.) accompany certain bodily changes. Psychophysiology refers to the domain of psychological research, which makes the physiological concomitants of psychological changes visible and recordable. With the help of recent technology, Psyrecon provides objective access to psychological processes, which can reveal causal relationships, as well as be used for interventions.
